Class 6th Chapter food

Ans .E3 A diet which contains all the nutrients in proper amount is called Balanced diet .We must eat balanced diet because it makes our body healthy and prevents diseases.

Ans.E4  Obesity can be caused by 
            -- Eating more than required quantity of food
           ----Eating fried food which is rich in oils and gives more calories than required

Ans.E5 In mountain region soil and water both are poor in iodine ,so people living over there  suffer more from goitre   rather than coastal areas where both water and salt is rich in iodine .

Ans .E6   Sources of the following
  Carbohydrates-----Cereals and vegetables like potato
  Proteins  --------    Milk, eggs, meat ,pulses
  Fats--------mustard, groundnut, meat ,fish 
Roughage -------- green leafy  vegetables , salads
Vitamin A -------Cod liver oil, yellow vegetables 
Vitamin C------- Citrus fruits like amla ,orange,guava

Ans.E7  Importance of Water
     1 It helps in the reactions to take place in our body
      2  It enables removal of waste
      3  It helps in distribution of oxygen , food , nutrients etc.in our body
      4 Water helps in maintaining uniform body temperature.
