‘Commendable Prowess – Accolades’
Darbari Lal DAV Model School, ND Block,
Pitampura, Delhi made a niche in the global scenario with the selection of its
students- Shivam Jain and Khushbu virmani of class XI and the teacher Mrs
Bharti Pant to participate in 3rd Gloab Youth Meet (GYM 2015) from
November 29 – December 2 , 2015 at Visakhaptanam, Andhra Pradesh. The school is
among 300 delegates chosen from 180 countires all over the world and the only
school sponsored by the organization among three best schools selected from Delhi
to participate in the Global Yoth Meet 2015.
GYM 2015, an international conclave is
organized by HRIDAY –SHAN in collaboration with the public health Foundation of
India. It has won the patronage worldwide and support of world heart
foundation, Bill and Milinda Gates Foundation, American Cancer Society, NCD
Child and UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. GYM provides a unique Platform
to the selected student delegates and teacher facilitators from all across the
world to focus and share on youth-led innovative strategies and technique to
advocate for supportive health policies, nationally and globally that
felicitate a sustainable and healthy future.
Students and the teacher of DLDAVMS,
Pitampura won its place among selected delegates on the basis of its
commendable work done in the field of Health and wellness programme and
practices through various activities, competitions, programmes and initiatives
held and conducted in the school.
Selection of the school to the globally
acclaimed submit GYM 2015 is a proof of dedication, enthusiasm and sincere
efforts with which the ‘Health Club’ students and teachers under the leadership
of their principal, Mrs Anita Wadehra promote successfully the Health and
Wellness progromme in and around the school.
