"It has been appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity" these words were said by the great physicist of all times Albert Einstein to the world. But what did he mean by saying this? Did he say this in a positive way or in a negative way. We are here to find its answer.
We live in a time of change. Thanks to the computer technology, which is constantly changing, we are able to access more and more information and in a quicker time. Think about it! If technology was non-existent, humanity would be only a fraction of what it is today. Without it, pursuit of knowledge would be futile. Within last 50 yrs, the entire world has seen a boom in technology. But for all of society's gains, there are losses too.
You must have heard people saying that technology wastes their time, sometimes people get addicted to it. Getting hooked to their cell phones, using social networking sites like facebook, twitter etc. for hours. everyone is realizing this thing, even facebook people also, that's why while deactivating your account when they ask you the reason why you are leaving facebook, there's an option that "FACEBOOK wastes my TIME". My dear friends facebook doesn't waste your time, you waste your time yourself because you are sitting in front of it for more than a specific period of time. Facebook isn't telling you" Come and sit in front of me". So why blame technology when it is you who is to be blamed. Take example from your classmates like Sanya. She opens facebook once in a week or once in2 weeks. But that doesn't mean that she is not in touch with her friends and some of you spend your whole day on fb wasting your own precious time and then you blame the technology.
Remember, that technology is just a tool. It merely amplifies the action of the user. Don't blame the technology, blame the user for effects- whether good or bad . take the e.g. of knife. A knife can be used to cut food and can also be used to stab a person.
Similarly A hammer can be constructive and help in the process of building & can also be used as a blunt weapon.Nuclear Weapons can be used to kill millions and can also be used to deter attacks and save lives. In the same way, Internet can be used to gather information from many sources and can also be used to release malicious software in the form of viruses, worms etc. I'm just pointing out that technology isn't inherently 'good' or 'bad'. It's just a tool and it's use is in our hand- good or bad. That's our choice, totally our choice.
There's nothing that's built without a notion. There are tons of developments that have meant a lot of bad means........but a lot of it has helped us too! So it is a better choice to look at the things with more positivity. Bad will continue to happen unless human race resolves.
In nutshell, I would like to say that Technology is here to stay and we have to accept it whether in a +ve way or -ve way, that's totally in our hands.
